Welcome

The Forest Culture Centre in Gołuchów is an independent organizational unit of the State Forests with national scope. It was established by the edict of the Director General of the State Forests on December 15, 1986.

The Centre’s primary mission is to preserve the cultural heritage of Polish forestry and to promote the work and legacy of foresters through continuous and broad public engagement. This is achieved through its museum and educational activities, which include programs for children, youth, and adults, highlighting the significance of forests in both historical and contemporary contexts.

The institution also supports the artistic endeavors of foresters and artists whose work is inspired by the forest and forestry. Additionally, the Centre is involved in the breeding programs of European bison and Koniks (Polish semi-feral horses).

The Forest Culture Centre in Gołuchów manages and restores one of Poland’s most notable aristocratic residences, making its historic buildings and the surrounding landscape park-arboretum accessible for educational and tourism purposes.

The International Forestry Summer Camp will take place at the Forest Culture Centre in Gołuchów from August 10 to 23.
